Langley Regional Airport Air Fair

The Langley Regional Airport Air Fair welcomed approximately 15,000 residents, visitors, families and aviation enthusiasts to the airport for its second annual community event.

The Air Fair gives the public a rare chance to step behind the fence and experience the airport firsthand, while learning about aviation and the vital role Langley Regional Airport plays in transportation, emergency services, business activity, flight training and the local economy. Designed as an accessible, family-friendly event, it also builds community pride and encourages interest in aviation careers.

Off the Reel joined the Air Fair as a partial in-kind sponsor, creating a customized interactive photo experience built around travel, aviation and the excitement of the day.

Off the Reel also demonstrated the next evolution of the Future Pilot experience using AI-powered photography, transforming guests into aviators in flight suits within a cinematic aviation environment while keeping them fully recognizable as themselves. The Airport team saw significant potential in expanding the concept at future events, describing it as a unique and memorable takeaway for guests.

For children attending an event designed in part to encourage interest in aviation careers, that connection was especially meaningful. They weren't simply receiving another event photograph. They were being invited to imagine themselves as pilots and as part of the aviation community.

With hundreds of photos captured during an event welcoming approximately 15,000 people, the activation demonstrated both immediate guest engagement and significant potential for future airport and sponsor activations. Sometimes inspiring the next generation of aviation starts with something as simple as letting a child see themselves as a Future Pilot.
