Strategic Approach
Off the Reel partnered with Prospera Credit Union, a long-term client, to create a high-engagement activation at the Vaisakhi Parade, the largest such parade in the world outside of India, attracting nearly one million attendees.
The strategy involved setting up an open-air stationary photo booth within Prospera’s tent, leveraging the visually appealing backdrop of an Indian village created by Prospera. The photo booth was designed to offer a fun experience while integrating a QR code to meet Prospera’s objective of driving online traffic.
This year’s activation improved upon last year’s setup by removing the previous limitation of a single print per guest. Attendees could now capture and download multiple photos, resulting in longer interactions, greater engagement, and increased digital reach.

Key Activations
1.Open-Air Stationary Photo Booth: An open-air stationary photo booth was set up inside the Prospera Credit Union tent, utilizing the backdrop of an Indian village provided by Prospera as the photo booth stage.
2.Branded Print Layout with QR Code: Guests received printed photos with a custom layout featuring one photo per print. Each print included a QR code designed to drive traffic to Prospera Credit Union’s website or a specific promotional offer for the event.
3.High-Volume Crowd Management: Due to the immense popularity of the photo booth and the large crowds at the Vasaki Parade, multiple staff members were required to manage the long lineups and ensure a smooth experience for attendees.

Results & Impact
- The photo booth experienced a constant lineup throughout the day, indicating significant guest engagement and its effectiveness in drawing people into the Prospera Credit Union tent.
- A total of 505 photos were taken with over 1500 prints being made at the event.
- The branded photo booth with the QR code successfully provided a memorable experience for attendees while also serving as a tool to potentially increase traffic to Prospera Credit Union’s online platforms.
The photo booth activation by Off the Reel proved to be a highly successful strategy for Prospera Credit Union at the Vasahki Parade. The engaging experience drew large crowds to their tent, providing valuable opportunities for Prospera staff to interact with potential customers.
The integration of the QR code on the photo prints offered a direct pathway for attendees to learn more about Prospera’s offerings online, effectively bridging the physical event experience with their digital presence. The visual appeal of the Indian village backdrop, combined with the fun of the photo booth, created a positive and memorable interaction for the attendees. 1500 prints being made at the event.
Furthermore, Prospera Credit Union conducted a brief interview with Off the Reel at the Surrey Khalsa event, where they discussed their positive experience working together, highlighting the strong relationship that has developed.
