Event Objective

Envision Financial wanted to amplify their brand presence and collect data during a high-energy Vancouver Bandits home game at the Langley Events Centre. The idea was to combine cutting-edge AI photography with a playful, sports-themed twist that would appeal to fans of all ages — and send them home with a keepsake they’d want to show off.

Strategic Approach

To create a memorable and high-impact fan experience, Off the Reel developed a fully customized AI Event Photography activation featuring a green screen, background removal, and a 4×6 printed photo in a “Trading Card” style — perfect for basketball fans.

Guests could pose holding a basketball, and our team used AI and traditional photography to drop them into stylized backgrounds, mimicking real sports cards. Each guest’s image was printed instantly and also sent via text or email. Branded prints, a custom start screen, and personalized UI elements (like buttons and overlays) ensured everything looked and felt on-brand for Envision Financial.

Key Activations

1. AI Event Photography with Green Screen + Background Removal
Guests were photographed in front of a green screen and had the option to be turned into “digital athletes” using AI and background removal. The effect was instant and visually striking — they looked like part of a professional trading card lineup.

2. 4×6 Custom Trading Card Layout
Each photo was printed on a custom-designed 4×6 layout, mimicking the look of a sports trading card — branded for Envision and themed for the Bandits. It wasn’t just a souvenir, it was a collector-style keepsake.

3. Branded Sharing Station + Instant Delivery
Guests could instantly send their photos to themselves via text or email, or walk away with a printed version. All images were branded with Envision Financial logos, creating social media-ready content that spread their brand even further.

4. Custom Start Screen & UI
From the moment fans approached the booth, every part of the interface — from the start screen to the photo capture button — was customized with Envision’s brand assets, giving the experience a cohesive and premium look.

Results

The activation attracted massive interest, with long lines forming throughout the game. Guests not only waited patiently for their chance to try the booth — many came back for second and even third turns.

The unique look and novelty of the AI experience (paired with tangible printed takeaways) created a buzz in the arena. Fans loved the “Trading Card” concept, especially younger audiences who were excited to pose with a basketball and take home something totally unique.
